Robertson Elementary School is located in the Whaleyville section of Suffolk. However, students from downtown Suffolk comprise a large portion of the student population. For this reason, the school faculty travels to St. Paul’s R.Z.U.A. Church in south Suffolk to conduct parent-teacher conferences and other outreach efforts. This connection has strengthened communication between families and teachers who might not otherwise have met.

Parents and teachers strive to have an honest, open line of communication. The staff at Robertson Elementary School strongly believes that communication between home and school is essential to maximize the learning process. Teachers routinely make individualized contact with parents on a monthly basis to share students’ strengths and weaknesses. In this way, the school staff can guarantee that parents know exactly what is taking place in the classroom and what is expected from each student.
